Education Programs
As part of the Marine CSI experience, we offer interactive, inquiry-based STEAM lessons to Southeastern NC schools. Through these programs, students in K-12 public, private, and homeschool settings have an opportunity to learn about the coastal habitats in the Cape Fear River and White Oak-New River Basins right in their classrooms. These programs have the potential to be far reaching and we have recently expanded to Onslow County.
We have also teamed up with Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines to offer new ways to earn badges. Through our outreach program, as well as our resource books, our activities and lessons can help girls check off one, two, or all of the requirements for certain badges. Scout leaders also have an opportunity to learn how to teach our lessons to their troops. Stay tuned for more information!
